New ELFA President Josep Maria De Dios Marcer and new Board Member Veronica Ruiz Abou-Nigm

At the ELFA Annual General Meeting held in Brno on Friday 21 April 2017, Josep Maria De Dios Marcer, Professor of International Private Law at Autonomous University of Barcelona, was elected President of ELFA, succeeding Associate Professor Vera Kalvodova from Masaryk University in Brno. Professor Michele Graziadei, from University of Turin, was elected the First Vice-President of ELFA at the AGM in Brno. Dr. Veronica Ruiz Abou-Nigm, from University of Edinburgh, has been elected to the Board at the AGM in Brno.

ELFA, and in particular Věra Kalvodová would like to pay particular tribute to Laurence Gormley, from the University of Groningen, for all that he has done for ELFA over the past years; in 2016-2017, after his successful Presidency the year before, was an invaluable adviser to the Board.
